My classes start before the real tutoring begins, getting to understand and know my students first helps me create a much needed connection and allows me to tailor-made my approach just for them. I start with assessing where they are and of course, where they want to be and why. With these few ingredients, I devise a plan and depict clearly how they can and will achieve their goals. Doing a periodic assessment and adjustment to the the plans against the outputs makes us all responsible and on top of the matter of things. I sometimes like to involve parents as seem necessary. But above all, I believe in acknowledging my students' progress and pushing the out of their comfort zones while maintaining a big-sister approach. :)
