Hi, I`m Chiara. I recently graduated from the University of Stirling with BSc (Hons) in psychology. Throughout my university career, I have undertaken classes ranging from foundation courses in psychology to developmental, cognitive, personality and multicultural psychology courses. My experience in studying in the UK and the US gave me the possibility to learn about different study approaches. I have experience in tutoring children, adolescents and undergraduates.

During my undergraduate, I was given the possibility as part of my studies to tutor other psychology students. Having pursued this course of study, I am looking to support A-level and undergraduate students needing support with any psychology courses, essay writing and time-management skills.

I have gained a great understanding of how to support children with their individual needs having worked with children with migration backgrounds, learning difficulties and disabilities. This knowledge was extended when I focused throughout my semester abroad in the US and for my dissertation on the best ways to make children thrive who come from challenging backgrounds such as foster care. Through my work and academic experience, I was able to put into practice different techniques to help children and teenagers to succeed through primary and secondary school. Having attended Steiner Education for my primary and secondary school years, I have a great understanding of holistic and practical learning. I would like to support primary, secondary and A-level students with any foundation subjects.

Having grown up in a multilingual environment and pursuing my university career in Scotland and the US, I have gained a proficient knowledge of English, Italian and German. Therefore, I would like to support children and adults who may need additional help in learning English, Italian and German. Having obtained various language qualifications (e.g., IELTS, Cambridge, Dante Alighieri, Goethe), I would like to support others to gain these qualifications as well.

The support I give to my tutees is tailored to their own individual needs. Following a tutoring period, I strongly believe that the student should have gained a greater understanding of the subject(s) and have the tools and confidence to successfully undertake independent learning.
