I am a 25-year-old Latin American with a diversified background; I speak French, Creole, English, and German/Deutsch (I have already received my B1 certificate for German). Currently finishing my Master's Degree in industrial organizational psychology and researching language development and cultural integration. The primary goal is to collect data using the scientific method and previous empirical sources, to improve language acquisition skills for children and young adults. My Teaching method is a hybrid of traditional institutional mixed with social/cultural integration contents; including music, language history, reading, worksheets, etc. My journey as a teacher started at a very young age; as a charter school, it was required for all students to read to preschoolers and elementary students. As I progressed in developing my teaching skills, I often volunteered for teaching positions in high school through the Citizen Schools program, as well as joining E.G.O.S ( Elite Group Of Students), where we would tutor younger students and organize fundraisers to pay for school materials. I still participated in those programs throughout my College career with a major in Cognitive psychology, specializing in learning and behavioral development. Approximately 2 years ago, I moved to Germany and had to get accustomed to yet another language. I find that I learn better when teaching and exchanging information. Information and languages are two of the main social factors that are constantly changing in the age of globalization, therefore it is our selves and others with the proper tools to adapt and succeed.
