I am closely familiar with various textbook series and additional materials that target your specific goals, like grammar, listening or reading skills, or expanding your vocabulary.

Working with children, I have learnt to create interactive lessons using various online platforms to keep their attention and interest in learning English going. With adults, I understand the importance of both practicing spoken language and targeting any gaps in grammar or vocabulary that one might have. During our lessons, I will try my best to incorporate topics that interest you while also not forgetting about the educational part of our lessons.

During our first meeting, we will speak about your personal goals and motivations for learning or improving your English skills and build a plan for us to work through. Normally, that consists of a textbook we would follow and supporting materials like worksheets, videos, online exercises and so on.

While I speak basic German, I would do my best to use English as our main language of communication and I encourage you to do so as well. Depending on the frequency of our lessons, I would ask you to complete some homework as I believe languages have to be practiced consistently to get good results. Homework might look like doing exercises on grammar topic we have studied, studying new vocabulary, writing a small text or watching a video and writing a summary about it. In our next lesson we would discuss the homework - was it too challenging? too easy? I'm always happy to hear my students' feedback so we can create a safe environment to learn and grow.
