I am a researcher in sociology and native-level Turkish language speaker with a teaching experience of over three years.
I hold Bachelor's degree in the fields of International Affairs from Hacettepe University in Ankara, and two Master's degrees: in Turkish Language and Translation Studies and in Nationalism Studies from universities in Ukraine and Austria. Up to the date I have worked extensively in international environments as a teacher, researcher and translator. All this enriches my approach in teaching and communication with my students.
I design courses in Turkish language and also on Turkish history, literature, and politics. My work is both practice and theory oriented, which creates a productive unity and provides for quality results.
Except Turkish, I teach Azerbaijani language at the beginner and elementary levels. I can also consult on a variety of topics about the life in Turkey and Azerbaijan, education and scholarship opportunities. Upon request I can provide academic counselling to students on their studies and English-language essays on topics that concern culture and politics in the countries from Central Europe to Central Asia. You can follow some of my current work and publications on LinkedIn and Instagram under Yelyzaveta Zolotarova and @isabella_solidtr
I can use English, Russian, and Ukrainian as facilitating language. Otherwise I communicate with my students fully in Turkish. Currently I am based in Vienna. Online and in-person classes and consultations are possible. I will be happy to guide you through the complexities of the language, academic life, and professional development as a language and regional expert! Don't hesitate to reach out.
