I am an mpathetic, student-centered educator who values both active participation and individual growth.
As a storyteller, I believe in the power of narrative to create meaningful connections and foster a deeper understanding of complex concepts. In my teaching experience, I have found that engaging with students through conversational dialogue is an incredibly effective method. By making learning interactive and dynamic, I create an environment where students feel involved and encouraged to think critically.
My classroom is lively and participatory. I encourage active engagement from my students, fostering a space where ideas can be exchanged freely. However, I am also keenly aware that not all students feel comfortable engaging from the very first class. Confidence in participating often comes with time, and I ensure that my classroom is a supportive space where students can grow into that confidence at their own pace.
I teach with empathy. I understand that each student has a unique learning journey, and I appreciate the different speeds at which they may progress. I tailor my teaching to meet the needs of the individual, recognizing that students require varying levels of motivation and styles of guidance. My aim is not only to impart knowledge but also to help each student find their own voice in the learning process.
Moreover, I actively seek feedback from my students and use it to refine and adapt my teaching style. This dialogue helps me better accommodate their diverse learning needs, ensuring that each student is supported in a way that maximizes their potential. I believe that the teaching process is collaborative, and being open to feedback allows me to grow as an educator while ensuring the best outcomes for my students.
