Hello! My name is Ülkü.I started my career as a Turkish teacher in 2012.In my twelve-year working life, I aimed to instill language awareness in my students and to arouse their curiosity. In this direction, I organized activities by taking into account the age group of my students at all levels where I teach. Since I think that language is a very important tool for people to perceive themselves and the world, I focused on the development of my students' comprehension (reading-listening) and expression (speaking-writing) skills. Receiving feedback from my students on these issues encouraged me to continue and gave me determination to do more. I am sensitive and meticulous in assessing students' individual needs and adapting my teaching style to suit different learning styles and proficiency levels. I have been supporting a global community of language learners in my online classes. I believe that cultural exchange plays a vital role in language acquisition. I actively incorporate authentic materials, cultural discussions, and virtual immersion experiences into my lessons. By creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, I aim to inspire my students to embrace the Turkish language and develop a deep appreciation for its rich heritage.
