English - Focusing / Improving speaking skills

To whom it may concern,

My name is Ayse and I graduated from English language teaching in Turkey. Before starting my master's degree in Germany, I worked as a English teacher for 2 years in Turkey. I have worked with learners ages between 7 to 18.

Currently, I am pursuing my master's degree in English & American studies. My focus is TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language). During my studies, I completed my internship at Volkshochschule Chemnitz, in the topic of teaching English to the adults.

During my classes, I have used different teaching methods such as lecture-based, discussion-based, and problem-based. Besides the learner's demands, I would prefer to use various techniques that cater to different learning styles and interests. On the other hand, the content was always determined by the curriculum or syllabus. It also represents the needs of learners and can be arranged accordingly. For the teaching dynamics, I try to focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active participation, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving, and providing timely and constructive feedback.
