In my English lesson, I start with a warm-up activity designed to get students thinking in English. This could be a quick question, a short conversation, or a fun word game. I then introduce the topic of the lesson, providing a brief explanation and presenting key vocabulary and grammar points. To teach the new material, I use various methods such as visual aids, examples, reading passages, audio clips, or videos.
Next, I guide students through practice activities. We begin with guided practice, where we work on exercises together as a class, followed by independent practice, where students complete exercises individually or in pairs/groups. This could involve worksheets, interactive activities, or role-playing scenarios. To ensure that students can use the new material meaningfully, I then move on to production activities, which involve speaking or writing tasks where students create their own sentences, stories, or dialogues using the new vocabulary and grammar.
After practice and production, I review the main points of the lesson, provide feedback on exercises, and answer any questions to reinforce learning and correct mistakes. I also assign homework that reinforces the day's lesson to extend learning beyond the classroom. Finally, I wrap up the lesson with a quick recap of what was learned and a brief preview of the next lesson to ensure understanding and continuity.
