Mastering English: tutor for students who want to be really good in English

I have worked in classrooms of small groups of managers wishing to improve their English understanding as their companies move into international markets, and I would like to continue that rewarding work online.

Private lessons with individual students are also possible, and we shall focus on what the student wants to learn, the lesson plan is organised around the student's wishes.

Many facilities are available, from discussing newspaper articles, to working on PowerPoint presentations, to interview preparation. Just let me know what you want! I enjoy explaining difficult aspects of grammar and offering alternative phrasing of written work, given my many years' experience as an editor and translator.

I like to believe that I am flexible, so contact me to discuss what could be possible. Perhaps you have a textbook that you are working on and need help with the more advanced sections. Or you have to write a presentation for work, and it needs to sound like a native speaker. You might want to practise giving that speech. Or work on understanding the nuances of English grammar, the complexities of phrasal verbs, what idioms really mean and how to use them.

If you are able to spend time on homework, then our lessons can be even more valuable as we can discuss the questions arising from the homework in the lesson instead of working on exercises in class.
