Hi there! I'm Caroline and I am a BA graduate in German with International Studies and I hold a TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have recently returned to the UK after spending over 25 years teaching both English and German abroad. My students come from all over Europe, and I teach all skills and levels, as well as exam preparation - Cambridge exams, IELTS, TOIEC, TOEFL and others - please feel free to ask :)
In our first meeting, which is free, we will talk about your goals and objectives, and I will assess your level if appropiate. Then we will establish a programme and arrange suitable materials. I use a variety of matierials, including coursebooks, worksheets and online resources.

I'm a keen language learner. I learn languages just for fun, but also I find the insight into the culture of the native peoples who speak it particularly fascinating. It's also really great brain training; learning a foreign language is a great way to give the brain its daily (or weekly, if you prefer) workout. Also, being able to communicate with people in their native tongue gives a huge sense of achievement and satisfaction. As a teacher, I take pride in my role in helping my students on their language learning journey, whether their goal is to succeed in an exam, business or pleasure, seeing them grow in confidence and fluency.
