Tesol certified English Teaching Student

Anzeigenbeschreibung
I studied English teaching in Turkey for two years, and during this time I was entitled to receive a TESOL certificate from the University of Arizona. At the end of my second year at the university, I came to the University of Wuppertal with a grant because I successfully passed all the exams. Here I will study in the field of education for about six months and take an A2 level German course. In general, I know basic German. I am also interested in the field of marketing. I think I will put my knowledge in marketing and education to good use. As for my personal characteristics, I can describe myself as punctual, adaptable and energetic. As for my teaching style, I prefer using a mixture of the approaches, but basically, I relate to the Direct approach and the Humanistic approach most. Teaching English without prioritizing speaking activities is unthinkable. We, as teachers, should make students feel comfortable in order to persuade them to speak in the target language. The Humanistic Approach helps us greatly at this point. Also, the Direct Approach keeps students active during classes. There are some specific aspects to certain approaches.
For example, the idea of positive reinforcement in the Humanistic Approach is so beneficial for learning. When I become an English teacher, I am planning to use positive reinforcement a lot. I will use words like brilliant, very good, excellent, and great to encourage students to engage in lessons and make them feel confident. Using realia (real objects), which is pointed out in the direct approach, has a crucial role in helping students to remember better. I am planning to use objects like magazines and plants based on the subject. Also, deductive grammar teaching in the Grammar Translation Method can be useful for beginners. As new learners have little information about the language, giving explicit rules can assist them in building a general knowledge of the language. Deductive grammar teaching involves giving rules at the beginning and after giving examples. For example, when I want to teach the differences between simple present tense and present continuous tense, I can give the first rules of these two tenses.

I hope I was able to explain myself well. I look forward to receiving positive news from you.
